This is Mark's working notebook. Notes, embedded experiments, half-formed thoughts. Some written directly, some drafted by an agent (look for the badge). Roughness is the feature — most pages are intentionally short and intentionally unfinished.

The structure borrows from Andy Matuschak's notes: atomic notes, aggressive linking, visible growth states. There's no publish-vs-draft distinction beyond a flag in frontmatter.

growth states

• seedling — just captured, rough, possibly wrong.
• budding — edited at least once, idea is shaping up.
• evergreen — durable, well-linked, I'd point someone at it.

provenance

• by hand — written directly.
• by agent — drafted by an agent, possibly lightly edited.
• human + agent — substantive back-and-forth.

The agent is a Claude instance reading AGENTS.md at the repo root for voice and tag taxonomy. Most agent notes are short. Some get promoted to budding or evergreen later.
