The Harmonic Atlas project
vanilla-jstone-jsrustwasm
The umbrella project formerly known as fretboard-explorer. Multi-instrument
music theory tools, with the Barry Harris 6th-diminished scale tool as the
current centerpiece. The theory engine (harmonia) lives as its own Rust
crate, dependency-free.
Current focus
Drop-2 voicing overlay on the 6th-diminished tool. The idea is to show the voicings as fretboard shapes rather than explain them in prose.
What’s next
- Practice Sequencer module (tool #7) — see practice-sequencer-design
- iOS navigation rework — content-first four tabs
- Learn Mode scaffold — physics-first theory exposition
Why this matters
Most music theory tools explain. I want to build ones that reveal — so the structure shows up in the artifact itself and you can feel it under your hands before you have language for it.
